The Air Force Test Center has taken an innovative step forward by officially launching its Glassdoor account through an approved 1-year pilot program. Glassdoor is a well-known website where current and former employees can submit anonymous reviews of their current and previous employers, share insights about company culture, and rate their overall experience. By joining Glassdoor, AFTC becomes the first Department of Defense (DoD) agency to adopt a premium version of the platform. AFTC’s Glassdoor will link directly with Indeed, the #1 job site in the world and a global job matching and hiring platform, which will boost our visibility broaden our outreach in the job market.

During the Glassdoor Pilot, AFTC will have access to advanced analytics, competitor benchmarking & targeting, and enhanced branding features. This initiative aims to strengthen AFTC’s position as an employer of choice, offering potential candidates a deeper look into the unique culture, values, and cutting-edge career opportunities across Air Force Test Center locations. This is a strategic step for the Air Force Test Center as it continues to push boundaries, foster growth, and recruit talented individuals committed to making a difference in national defense.

During the pilot period, AFTC aims to connect more authentically with potential candidates while bolstering its reputation in the competitive talent market by focusing on several key goals:

  1. Strengthen Employer Brand: Build a compelling image as a top workplace by showcasing AFTC’s value and culture.
  2. Increase Outreach: Reach a broader, diverse talent pool aligned with AFTC’s mission and values.
  3. Promote Workplace Culture: Highlight AFTC’s commitment to innovation, growth, and collaboration.
  4. Showcase Career Opportunities: Present AFTC’s wide array of unique and challenging career paths.
  5. Highlight Innovations: Keep prospective employees informed about exciting projects and innovative advancements.

“This 1-year pilot program allows us to utilize an untapped resource to attract top talent and better position AFTC within the highly competitive talent landscape,” said Art Huber, AFTC Executive Director. “In today’s era of Great Power Competition, it is essential for us to be proactive, transparent, and competitive to attract the best and brightest minds. We’re excited to give prospective employees a genuine look into our values, innovations, culture, and mission.”

Employees and supervisors are encouraged to participate in this initiative by leaving an anonymous review on AFTC’s Glassdoor profile.  Tip: Current employees recommend use of non-government email for your personal Glassdoor account. Sharing your professional experiences can greatly enhance AFTC’s employer brand and provide valuable insights to prospective candidates. Participation is voluntary, and we invite all team members to share their stories and help shape the future of AFTC.
