About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) (NH-2210-03) to work at the 48 CTS/TGEE/Det 1 at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
The 48 Cyberspace Test Squadron (48 CTS) is the principal AF organization for developmental testing of cyberspace weapon systems. Evaluates cybersecurity and cyber resiliency of the Air Force's kinetic and non-kinetic weapon systems. Provides realistic test and training environments for the evaluation of offensive and defensive cyber capabilities. Detachment 1 executes cyber developmental test and evaluation of 412th Test Wing aircraft and embedded systems.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)
Typical 2024 salary range: $101,121 – $156,323 (includes locality)
Telework Information: Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Desired Skills:
– 3-5 years of Cybersecurity experience supporting Special Access Programs
– 3-5 years of experience in system/application authorization and accreditation
– 3-5 years of experience in applying Risk Management Framework concepts
– Experience in monitoring compliance with cybersecurity policy
Major Duties:
– Plans, organizes and/or directs cyber, IT, or information/knowledge management (IM) activities which comply with legal, regulatory, and AF/DoD-directed requirements and meet mission and customer needs.
– Develop, operate, and modify policies to ensure local application meets mission/project requirements.
– Serves as a senior technical advisor on cyber, IT or IM activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– U.S. Citizenship
– This is a national security position.
– Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
– Must be able to obtain/maintain Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information access eligibility.
– Some temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required
– The incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
– The incumbent will be required to obtain/maintain DOD Cybersecurity/Information Assurance certification as a condition of employment. Per DOD 8140 Training Repository, the incumbent of this position must achieve appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties, failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
– Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of IT assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing IT projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance. Experience performing duties as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative. Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance. CISSP certification is highly desired.
– Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for the coordinated management of IT programs to include providing oversight of multiple IT projects, integrating dependent schedules and deliverables, and related activities such as life cycle management and program governance.
