About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Position as a Logistics Test and Evaluation Manager (NH-0346-03) to work at the 412th Logistics Test Squadron, (412 MXLS/LTE) at Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, California.
In this position you will provides Logistics Test assistance and guidance to the squadrons, staff agencies and to integrated and combined test forces. You will coordinate test documentation and sharing of "lessons learned" information. You will provide continued emphasis and awareness of Logistics Test activities and document them these activities for future efforts.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)
Typical 2024 salary range: $101,121 -$156,323 per year (includes locality)
Telework Information: Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible
Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.
Desired Skills:
– Minimum of 4 years aircraft mechanic experience desired
– Some flight test experience is desired
Major Duties:
– Ensures complete LT&E project planning and support.
– Plans Logistics T&E for assigned programs.
– Gathers related documentation pertaining to logistics, analyzes for applicability for future programs.
– Initiates and participates in: meeting with USAF/Foreign Agencies, contractor personnel, and others to identify potential LT&E problems as well as discuss and resolve problems.
– Assists in the formulation of Logistics Test and Evaluation (LT&E) policies and processes for the Air Force Flight Test Center.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– U.S. Citizenship
– Obtain & maintain Security clearance
– Aircraft Maintenance experience
– Ability to communicate orally and in writing
